PAKISTAN VS NEWZELAND 2ND TEST 2011 LIVE

Pakistan tour of New Zealand, 2ND Test: New Zealand v Pakistan at Wellington, Jan 15-19, 2011

AMisbah expects the Wellington pitch to be a sporting one that will lend itself to a result. With New Zealand obviously intent on evening the series, he says Pakistan will have to be careful not to let their advantage slip. "Our opponents, no doubt, will push us hard, as they will be going into the second Test on the back of a heavy defeat. They will be looking to level the series. We need to be wary of the fact that New Zealand will come hard at us. We will need to work even harder and ensure that we are even more focused in Wellington."

At the same time, Misbah also believes his side has room to improve. In the first Test, three batsmen made half-centuries, including Misbah, but were unable to convert them into big scores. "If you look at our batting in the first Test, a lot of us got starts and nobody went on to score a hundred," Misbah said. "What I would like to see is for our batsmen, myself included, to ensure that we make full use of our good starts, and ensure that we bat for long periods. If a similar situation to Hamilton presents itself, we should ensure that we earn a bigger lead than 92.

PAKISTAN VS NEWZELAND 1ST TEST 2011 LIVE, PAK V NZ SCORE

Pakistan tour of New Zealand, 1st Test: New Zealand v Pakistan at Hamilton, Jan 7-11, 2011

A good day for Pakistan. They hustled out the tail and though slipped from 72 for 1 to 107 for 4, they have recovered, courtesy a 128-run stand between Misbah and Shafiq. Excellent stuff from Pakistan. A lot of hardwork and patience and they are inching ahead in the contest after being 4 down for 107.

It would look silly if Misbah were to get out in the fashion he is starting to employ, though I can understand why he has decided to go a little agressive. The new ball will be due in the morning, so he does want to knock as many runs, before it is taken.

The Pak tail can certainly wag. AbdurRehman scored a fifty in Dubai, Gul scored a good one in England. Wahab Riaz showed what he's made of in the ODIs vs SA and Tanvir Ahmed scored 30* on debut.Phantom lifted his right foot over the rope and just about pushed the ball back inside the rope before his back foot touched the rope. Or so it looks. May be not. It's been given as a boundary.

Arnel is rather lack-lusture. I cant wait til young-uns like wheeler get a bit more experience under their belt and make a showing. NZ need more bite to their pace attack.

Day3 India Live 3rd test VS South africa | Live Cricket links Day3 Highlights

India tour of South Africa, 3rd Test: South Africa v India at Cape Town, Jan 2-6, 2011

India vs south africa live 3rd test scorecard, day3 and day2 highlights.
Harbhajan has just played the shot of the match. Of the series. Of the South African summer. Length ball on middle and off, Harbhajan doesn't bother with trifles like foot work. He stays back and drills the bat down in one, smooth, devastating swing. And makes fearsome contact. And then he holds his pose. The ball sails easily over long on. Harbhajan has a wry smile on his face. Business as usual. He hardly strained a muscle and sent the world's top fast bowler packing over long on. On a day when he has bowled the spell of the series. This Test match continues to throw up some utterly unbelievable moments.

Hint of away shape from outside off, Harrbhajan was on the back foot looking to smear that out of Cape Town, but missed it by a mile and a week.

That six brought up 2000 runs for Harbhajan in Tests. Can't think of a more stylish way to bring up a milestone.

Kallis thinks batting will stay tough and that "working hard on defensive technique" will be the key. At this stage of the game, he thinks South Africa hold the advantage. "We are still in a very strong position; a little bit ahead of the game, having the runs on the board," but wisely acknowledges "that can change very quickly." Day three is going to be a turning point in the match, one Kallis will be have to be content with watching from the dressing room.
